TC220, TC400X, TC500, TopCutter® Attachments.
Applications: High production open cut trenches for all utility lines and pipes, including gas, water, electric, fibre networks, telecommunications, airside working on airfields and road crossings; all with the unique advantage of accurate limited depth working thus avoiding buried existing services.

The three model range of TopCutter® from Bourgein represent a major reduction in the utility contractors cost base. the TopCutter is a milling machine, in essence a rotating drum laced with tungsten carbide mingling picks working inside a high yield steel cover, that replaces the conventional open cut trench tools of the diamond saw and the hydraulic hammer.

Designed to work in all road paving materials including asphalt, concrete and reinforced concrete, the TopCutter has full dust skirting and 4bar water jets, so close-quarter working in busy city streets is safe.

Particularly important is the very fine trench edge the TopCutter® leaves, offering an excellent 'key' for permanent reinstatement without further cutback. Much research into cutting teeth lacing patterns results in vibration free cutting, essential in city centres where excavator mounted hydraulic hammers are forbidden from working above subway tunnels and where doubts over longer term effects on high rise structures from this conventional trench opening tool is suspected.

The TopCutter arisings are used as fine fill, thus recycling is part of the cost benefit. The high hydraulic flows, to 338 lpm, the high pressures, to 410bar, with engine powers to 200hp all combine to give the Case trencher a market leading power density that is the perfect partner to the Bourgein TopCutter®.
